You hear that? It’s the sound of a multitude of Nintendo fans laughing. I’m sure you’ve heard of Suda 51’s No More Heroes which recently was released(North America, Japan) for Nintendo’s Wii. The game has a very stylish graphical style and fans of Killer 7 would feel right at home with Suda 51’s latest creation.
Suda 51 recently told MCV that he originally planned for No More Heroes to be released on Xbox 360. Here is what he said:
“Originally, I’d wanted to make this game for Xbox 360, actually. [Marvelous Interactive boss] Wada-san had information about the new Wii and how the new controller would work before it came out, so that’s why he thought I should produce the game on that format.
Suda goes on to say that even though the Xbox 360 was first in his mind, he’s happy with the outcome of N.M.H on the Wii:
“At the time, I didn’t really understand why, but after seeing and understanding how it works, I think it was a good choice and the controller works really well with the game.”
The game received mostly high praise for the game and it would have been nice to see Suda’s graphical style running in HD on the Xbox 360. Oh Well.
